Climate

The passage climate of Black Sea and Mediterranean climates are dominant in the city. The climate during the tourism season is mild and the temperature of the sea reaches maximum degrees during July and August. Daily temperatures in the season are 35˚C at most and at least 25˚C. It is more rainy in fall and less in spring. The outstanding feature of winter is severe winds coming from North. The Mediterranean climate is dominant during summer and autumn.

Seaports and Coves at the Dardanel (Boğazdaki Liman ve Koylar)

At the shores of Gallipoli Peninsula there are Anıt Seaport, (Mortu Cove), Poyraz Cove, Akbaş Seaport, Cumalı Seaport, Gallipoli Seaport and Bahçe Seaport (includes Hamza Koy and Çankaya Seaport). At the shores of Anatolia there are Karanlık Seaport, İntepe Seaport, İskele Seaport, Kepez Bay, Saltık Seaport and Lapseki Seaport.
